DELAWARE DYNASTY ANNOUNCES HEAD COACH

NEWARK , DE - Delaware Dynasty announced that Matthew Okoh will serve as the Head Coach for Delaware Dynasty Premier Development League Team. Okoh has played professionally in the Major League Soccer (MLS) New England Revolution and Colorado Rapids, as well as in Europe for TSV 1860 Munchen (Germany, Bundesliga), Sporting Club Campomaiorense (Portugal, Liga), SpVgg Unterhaching (Germany, Bundesliga).
"Matthew is a great addition to the organization," said Vice President Michael Iqbal. "His undying commitment and passion to the game will strengthen our efforts to continue building a strong soccer culture in the state of Delaware, where the youth and all soccer fans can always benefit from learning from true professionals."
Okoh currently holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "A" Licensed coach. Okoh is presently the head women's soccer coach at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware. Prior to coming to Delaware, Okoh was selected in 2004 as the Louisiana State Writer's Association All-Louisiana Women's Soccer Coach-of-the-Year. In 2004, Grambling State was 15-6 overall (3-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference West Division), and sixth among NCAA Division I schools in scoring offense. Prior to Grambling, Okoh was the head women's soccer coach at Nichols College in Dudley, MA where he led the team to the 2001 finals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament.
Okoh is ranked second on the University of Denver career lists for goals and total points. Upon his graduation, he was seventh on the NCAA Division II all-time list for goals per game in a season.
Okoh is a member of the United States Soccer Federation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Okoh is a native of Nigeria, he is fluent in three languages and was characterized in EA Sports PlayStation 2 games FIFA 1996, FIFA 2001 and 2002.
