DAY FOUR: USL PLAYER SHOWCASE

TAMPA, FL - The fourth and final day of the 2006 USL Men's Player Showcase presented by UMBRO featured one concluding 70 minute glimpse of the best Premier Development League talent in North America. The majority of the action took place along the sidelines as agents and teams discussed the future of their organizations and how many of these young prospects could make an impact on their upcoming 2007 season.
The opening match on field three, between team seven and team four attracted the majority of the attention from the early morning scouts.

DAY THREE: USL PLAYER SHOWCASE

TAMPA, FL - The penultimate day of the 2006 United Soccer Leagues Men's Player Showcase presented by UMBRO consisted of two 70 minute, full-sided affairs in which the elite prospects at this event can distance themselves from the rest of the pack. Beginning at 8:30 AM, players competed in the first of two 11 v.11 matches. The backbone of the showcase focused on each participant's ability during live match situations.

DAY TWO: USL PLAYER SHOWCASE

TAMPA, FL - Sunny skies welcomed the 192 participants to the second day of action at USL 2006 Men's Player Showcase presented by UMBRO. The day began with team building drills intended to organize the 12 sides for the four games they will play over the next two days. A perfect time for the international, Major League Soccer, and USL First & Second Division Clubs to inspect the showcase's goalkeeping corps.

PLAYER SHOWCASE STARTS SUNDAY

The Men's Player Showcase presented by UMBRO has been repeatedly upgraded to accommodate what has grown into an influential event. World-renowned clubs will meet the best amateur players North America has to offer on the event's upgraded facilities in Northwest Tampa.

FINAL 2006 USL BROADCAST ON FOX SOCCER CHANNEL

TAMPA, FL - The final broadcast of the 2006 United Soccer Leagues season will air Saturday night at 5:00 pm ET on Fox Soccer Channel, featuring a match between the New York Red Bulls and Kendall SC was a group play game from the U17 Boys SYL North American Finals Championship bracket as well as a look at the USL Hall of Fame ceremony and behind the scenes footage of events at the USL SoccerFest, which includes EPL great Alan Shearer.
